Description

The 2025 Rome Katana is the ultimate weapon of choice in the Rome binding world as it is one of the most versatile bindings, not just in their range, but the world. The sleek designed binding can handle pow to park, backcountry to banked slalom, and will not let you down thanks to its expertly designed, lightweight, and strong construction. With the introduction of the AsymWrap Chassis and DuraCush SubBase material, you get a lightweight, strong baseplate that can handle speed, drops, and jumps while still absorbing chatter and impact underfoot. With a highback and straps that can be adjusted to fit your boot perfectly, thanks to the unique PivotMount Max, the Katana is the physical embodiment of Rome's motto 'All Ways Down'.

AsymWrap Chassis

Rome's AsymWrap Chassis was designed for maximum tweakability while still having a surfy, easy riding feel underfoot. This true freestyle shaped chassis is made of 85% nylon and 15% glass fibre, offering a great strength-to-weight ratio. It also features an adjustable baseplate that helps fit a wide range of boot sizes.

Highback: 

Katana Highback

Made of 85% nylon and 15% glass fibre that can be adjusted to mirror the angle of your heelside edge. The Katana highback also has built in canting to adjust the angle of your highback to mirror the lower leg to provide a better connection and more stability.

Straps: 

Ultraflex Pro Ankle Strap + Progrip Toe Strap with AuxTech

The Ultraflex Pro Ankle Strap the next generation in the AuxTech straps with an open 3D auxetic edge, giving unprecedented stretch and even more distribution of pressure.

The Progrip Toe Strap was designed to be a grouping of smaller hinged portions that conform perfectly to the toe of your boot. This offers unmatched grip that will keep you locked in no matter how hard you ride.

DuraCush Technology

Expanded thermoplastic polyurethane used in the SubBase pad under the baseplate of the binding absorb and distribute chatter and impact so you have a smoother ride.

PivotMount Max

Small adjustable pieces on the ankle portion of the binding allow riders to change the position of their strap on the boot for a variety of different feeling responses. The higher up the strap on the boot, the more power and turn initiation your binding will provide, while the lower the strap, the surfier the feeling. These adjustable portions provides eight different options per side for a total of 64 configurations in total.

    • Returned within 30 days from the date of purchase (or date of delivery for online orders). 
    • Proof of purchase included
    • The item/s must be sent back in the condition you received it and with the original box and/or packaging in resalable condition, including manufacturer tags where applicable. It is the customers responsibility to ensure all returned items are delivered to Melbourne Snowboard Centre in their original condition. 
    • We cannot offer returns on any Facemasks, Neckwarmers, Socks or Chains due to hygiene and the nature of their use.

Store credits, lasting up to 3 years, will be issued for the amount paid at time of purchase for the particular item being returned. They are issued via email in which you'll receive a 13 digit code that you can use at checkout online or in store.

Unfortunately stock levels vary and we are not able to stock all products in all sizes, which may result in your desired exchange product or size not being available. In the event that your desired exchange product is not in stock, a store credit will be issued. 

Should you not want a credit or exchange, in extenuating circumstances Melbourne Snowboard Centre may issue a refund minus a 20% restocking fee.
