The 2026 K2 Sky Pilot is an all new freeride snowboard in the K2 range, co-developed with Sage Kotsenburg, and is designed for precision and responsiveness. Featuring a wide beam carbon construction, it excels in quick turn initiation and offers a stable yet lively ride without feeling overly rigid. Perfect for riders seeking a balance of control and energy, the Sky Pilot will be a standout for all-mountain versatility.
* Due to the volume shift of this board we recommend you downsize 4-10 cm from your usual snowboard length. *
Board Type: All Mountain - Freeride
All Mountain snowboards are versatile boards that excel across various terrains, from groomed runs to off-piste. These boards offer solid edge control and responsiveness, making them a great option for riders who want one board to do just about everything.
Freeride snowboards are built for steeper, off-piste terrain. These boards are ideal for aggressive riding and usually for more advanced riders.
Flex: Mid (6/10)
Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding.
Ability Level: Intermediate - Advanced
Intermediate snowboards offer more responsiveness and stability at higher speeds, with a slightly stiffer flex for better control on varied terrain and more advanced manoeuvres.
Advanced snowboards are stiffer and more responsive, designed for high-speed control, precision riding, and handling challenging terrain or tricks.
Shape: Directional
A directional snowboard has a shape designed for riding primarily in one direction, with a longer nose and a shorter, more compact tail. This design provides better control, stability, and float in powder, making it ideal for freeride and all-mountain riding. It offers optimal performance when riding forward, with a focus on carving and downhill runs.
Camber Type: Directional Combination Camber

The best of both worlds. Combining traditional Camber and Rocker profiles, Directional Combination Camber offers the pop and precision of camber, along with the float and predictability of rocker.
Width: Standard, Volume Shifted
Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes.
By shifting surface area from the tip and tail to the waist of the snowboard, it reduces swing weight and toe/heel drag. Downsize 4-10 cm from your usual snowboard length.
Inserts: 2x4 Inserts
These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments. They're common on modern boards and ideal for riders who want fine-tuned positioning and can be used with any binding with a standard or mini disk.
Board Construction
Laminate: Triax Glass, Carbon Y Beam
A fiberglass weave intersecting at three angles enhances torsional stiffness and overall strength.
Enhancing snap and stability in the tail while channeling energy to the contact points in the nose, this design provides the stability and edge pressure you need, without adding unnecessary torsional rigidity.

Core: S1 Core
The S1 Core is engineered to be damp underfoot and incredibly strong. Made from Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia, each wood is used for its unique strengths. Tip-to-tail Bamboo stringers provide snap, durability, and damping underfoot, while lightweight Paulownia in the midbody, tip, and tail reduces swing weight. Aspen and Bamboo are strategically placed at 30° angles underfoot to enhance strength, boost edge-to-edge response, and improve pressure distribution along the edge.
Base: Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base
Crafted with the hardest and fastest Sintered base material from Crown, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 retains wax longer than other Sintered bases, delivering a smoother, longer-lasting glide.
