The 2026 Jones Hovercraft 2.0 has been developed with a brand new shape using advanced 3D technology and eco-friendly materials. The classic freeride shape we all have come to know and love remains with its floaty nose, compact tail, directional rocker profile and long sidecut for nimble and stable riding. The update includes a spoon bevel in the nose for quick turns and a 3D hull in the tail so you can reach even faster speeds than you could before. To top that off, the Hovercraft is now made from recycled snowboard materials, making it the most responsible board in the Jones line. Get ready to attack any terrain in your path in complete control with the newly updated and better than ever Hovercraft.
Board Type: Freeride-Powder
Freeride snowboards are built for steeper, off-piste terrain. These boards are ideal for aggressive riding and usually for more advanced riders.
Powder snowboards are designed for deep snow. Generally these boards feature a directional shape with a tapered tail for better float and ease of riding.
Flex: 6/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)
Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding.
Ability Level: Advanced
Advanced snowboards are stiffer and more responsive, designed for high-speed control, precision riding, and handling challenging terrain or tricks.
Shape: Tapered Directional with High 3D Contour Base

A tapered directional snowboard features a shape where the tail is narrower than the nose, providing enhanced control and stability in deeper snow. This design improves floatation in powder and allows for smoother turns, making it ideal for freeride and backcountry riding. While it excels in one direction, the taper helps the board naturally guide you through challenging conditions.
A freeride-driven 3D Contour Base with a 7mm spoon bevel in the nose and up to 7mm in the tail, starting just before the contact points.
Camber Type: Directional Camber/Rocker

Jones' Directional Camber/Rocker profile incorporates camber throughout the body of the board with rocker in the nose. This keeps the board nice and responsive and powerful while enhancing float and manoeuvrability in deep snow, perfect for freeriding or in powder.
Width: Standard
Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes.
Inserts: 2x4 Inserts
These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments. They're common on modern boards and ideal for riders who want fine-tuned positioning and can be used with any binding with a standard or mini disk.
Board Construction
Topsheet: Sustainable Flax Topsheet
Jones’ Sustainable Flax Topsheet is made of a carbon neutral flax fiber that is resistant to chatter in uneven terrain and incredibly durable.
Laminate: Biax Fiberglass with Bio Resin
A dual-layer, multi-directional fiberglass laminate created for a lively yet forgiving ride, offering a balanced blend of mid-soft torsional flex and responsive energy transfer.
This plant based resin is more environmentally friendly than traditional petroleum based epoxy that has unmatched bonding properties for increased performance and less weight.
Core: Re-Up Tech Core
The Re-Up Teen Core is made of responsibly sourced Paulownia and Poplar with strategically plated stringers throughout made of reclaimed snowboards.
Sidewall: Recycled ABS Sidewalls
Jones makes their sidewalls out of a recycled ABS material with a round finish. This increases durability by deflecting impact away from the sidewall preventing chipping and cracks.
Edge: Recycled Edges
Made of recycled German steel, these bombproof edges are made to be the strongest and longest lasting on the market.
Base: Sintered 8000 Base
A top-tier sintered base that’s incredibly fast, soaks up wax for lasting glide, easy to repair, and built for unmatched durability.
Additional Features:
All Jones board come detuned in the tip and tail and ready to ride from the factory.
All Jones boards are factory waxed with a natural wax, ready to ride as soon as you hit the mountain.
By overbuilding snowboards, Jones use a process in the factory to ‘break in’ the board to mimic 20 days ridden.
Traction Tech enhances edge grip with strategically placed contact points, giving your board a firm, reliable hold on the snow—just like a serrated knife.

Inspired by surfboard design, 3D Contour Bases reduce tip drag for effortless turns, better glide, and enhanced float—so you can ride faster and with more flow.
