The 2026 CAPiTA The Equalizer is inspired from CAPiTA team rider Jess Kimura's movement from throwing down incredible street parts to her transition into the backcountry. This high end women's board is specifically designed to be an all mountain powerhouse offering all the bells and whistles you could ever want in a snowboard. With an updated camber profile you get positive camber throughout the board with reverse in the nose and tail, offering both control while carving and float in powder. Accompanied and enhanced by the new Meta Core, you get the desired flex for all terrain riding and stability at speed offering all the response you could ever need in one of the most advanced women's freeride boards available.
Board Type: All Mountain-Freeride
All Mountain snowboards are versatile boards that excel across various terrains, from groomed runs to off-piste. These boards offer solid edge control and responsiveness, making them a great option for riders who want one board to do just about everything.
Flex: 6/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)
Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding.
Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
Intermediate snowboards offer more responsiveness and stability at higher speeds, with a slightly stiffer flex for better control on varied terrain and more advanced manoeuvres.

Shape: Tapered Directional
A tapered directional snowboard features a shape where the tail is narrower than the nose, providing enhanced control and stability in deeper snow. Camber Type: Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech
CAPiTA's Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech is a groundbreaking all-terrain shape offers the perfect balance of performance and versatility. A raised camber platform through the inserts ensures reliable edge hold at high speeds on variable terrain, while elevated contact points enhance float and stability in powder. Flat Kick tip and tail arcs enable quicker, more aggressive transitions for a dynamic ride.
Sidecut: Blended Radial
CAPiTA's Blended Radial sidecuts incorporate a single-radius arc through the board's midsection, paired with a custom-designed blend zone at the contact points. By adjusting the length of these blend zones and tailoring them to specific riding styles, the board's overall performance is significantly enhanced.
Width: Standard
Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes.

These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments.
Board Construction
Topsheet: PLT Technology - Digital and Gloss/Matte Print with Pearlescent Underlay
CAPiTA uses their exclusive PLT Technology which bonds the topsheet into the already pressed snowboard without having fiberglass structure to show through the topsheet. This creates a seamless connection and does not require an additional layer of lacquer to smooth out the top of the snowboard, saving on both using environmentally unfriendly materials and adding unnecessary weight to the snowboard.
CAPiTA creates their incredibly detailed and vibrant topsheet designs using a combination of digital and hand screen printing methods. Their PAM16000 Printing technology utilises 16,000 individual inkjet nozzles to produce flawless digital graphics with solventless, water-based UV ink—delivering exceptional accuracy, quality, and speed. Additionally, every CAPiTA topsheet includes a portion that is silkscreened through a hand screen printing process, adding unique texture and depth to the final design.
Laminate: HolySheet Tri/Bi, Magic Bean Resin, 2x30mm Technora Flax Boosters
The Holysheet fiberglass construction utilises fiberglass weaves designed for high tensile strength and low elasticity. By incorporating a greater roving count without increasing weight, this configuration enhances board strength and responsiveness. Many popular models are designed with tri-axial fiberglass layered above the core and bi-axial fiberglass underneath, resulting in a well-balanced ride that enhances both strength and durability.
The Magic Bean resin system, developed over three years, is plant-based with high bio-content, zero waste, and no greenhouse emissions. It requires low production temperatures while delivering high yield, strength, and durability. Its enhanced rigidity allows for a thinner wood core, reducing weight while increasing energy return for a lighter, more responsive board.
Technora is a high-performance aramid fiber known for its exceptional tensile strength and fatigue resistance. Acting as both a shock absorber and energy amplifier, it is woven with lightweight natural flax fibers to enhance responsiveness, providing maximum power for turns and ollies.
Core: Meta Core
CAPiTA's Meta Core is constructed using Poplar and Paulownia with the addition of Beech stringers through the inserts for a lightweight core with a snappy pop.
Base: Quantum Drive Base - Sublimation Print
The Quantum Drive base is built for speed and durability, this sintered base holds more wax for a longer, faster ride. It’s designed to stay smooth and strong, making it a top choice for riders who want reliable performance in any condition.
Sublimation is a fine-tuned process that brings graphics to life with bold, vibrant colors. By using heat and pressure, ink is embedded into the base material rather than just sitting on top, making the designs pop. Since the base is thicker and more opaque than topsheets, this technique enhances colour depth and clarity.

We are a local, independently owned store and do not offer ‘change of mind’ refunds for returned items (this includes incorrect sizing), however we're happy to offer you a store credit or exchange subject to the following conditions:
Store credits, lasting up to 3 years, will be issued for the amount paid at time of purchase for the particular item being returned. They are issued via email in which you'll receive a 16 digit code that you can use at checkout online or in store.
Unfortunately stock levels vary and we are not able to stock all products in all sizes, which may result in your desired exchange product or size not being available. In the event that your desired exchange product is not in stock, a store credit will be issued.
Should you not want a credit or exchange, in extenuating circumstances Melbourne Snowboard Centre may issue a refund minus a 20% restocking fee.
If your return is time sensitive, our regular returns policy applies and no refunds will be given if you purchase new items prior to returning original items.

When returning, please ensure you take care to protect the item and its original packaging. Damaged packaging or damaged products may result in a reduction in your credit, or a refusal of your return. Refused returns incur a minimum $10 return shipping fee (more for bulky items).

If you have received a faulty product or you feel the product you have been using is eligible for a warranty evaluation by the manufacturer due to defect in its materials or workmanship, contact us and we can walk you through the appropriate steps to lodge a warranty claim. Please include photos of the item and issue so we can expedite the process. Find out more on our warranty page.
If you have received a damaged product (eg. damaged in transit), please send photos and a description of the damage within 7 days of receipt to web@melbournesnowboard.com.au, along with your order number and contact details. Damaged product claims do not apply after the item has been used.
Our packages are discounted to help you get on snow at a reasonable price. Due to this, if you get the wrong size we are happy to offer an exchange in size of the same product, but we do not accept returns for individual package items. If you would like to return one or more items in a package but not all items, you must return the entire package and re-purchase the remaining item at its advertised price.
