The 2024 Burton Fish 3D is the evolution of the famous Burton Fish, a worldwide favorite season after season. Natural selection has run its course and this Fish has adapted to the changing conditions, adopting a 3D profile to help it surf, slash, and speed past its competition in powder. The iconic fish shape remains the same but receives 3D profiling in the tip and tail, giving it surf-inspired float, responsiveness, and control when surfing that white wave. Featuring the classic double swallowtail for enhanced float and power through your turns, the Fish 3D is the same beast you've always known, now with some extra tricks up its sleeve.
Board Type: Powder
Camber Type: Directional Flat Top
Flat camber between the feet and towards the back of the board give you stability and catch-free turns, with an early rise nose for effortless float.
Flex: 4.5/10 (1 = soft, 10 = stiff)
Directional Flex - This board is constructed differently from nose to tail, putting more pop in the tail and strengthening the nose, allowing you to easily maintain control and charge through a variety of snow conditions.
Shape: Directional
This board has a longer, wider nose and 30mm of taper in the tail along with a cutout shape for effortless float and premium forward-facing performance.
Core:
Super Fly II 700G - By using stronger and lighter wood throughout the core, this board has the pop and strength where its needed while keeping things super light.
Dualzone EGD - The wood grain of the core is position along the heel and toe edge on two unbroken zones, perpendicular to the rest of the core. This gives consistent edge hold and strength.
45° Carbon Highlights - A tip to tail carbon layer reduces weight and contains 45° angled fibres, fine tuning the torsional flex to make a more aggressive ride.
Base: Sintered WFO
Standing for Wide F!#@ing Open, this base made from an extra absorbent, high density sintered material that is infused with a specially formulated wax, resulting in an ultra durable base that rides Wide F!#@ing Open.
Mounting System: The Channel
The Burton Channel system forgoes your traditional 4-screw mounting system and introduces a channel for your front and rear inserts. This allows you to fine-tune your stance width, and gives you more freedom in your stance location. The Channel is compatible with most major binding brands, but works best with Burton EST bindings.
Additional Features:
Infinite Ride - Burton is able to maximise pop and performance by overbuilding their boards in the factory, and then using machinery to break it down for you. This allows your board to ride the same from day one, to day 100, season after season.
Super Sap Epoxy - Super Sap is a bio-based resin that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional petroleum-based epoxies.
