The 2024 K2 Alchemist is one of the hardest charging boards on the market and is an absolute weapon when used by the right rider. This very advanced level board has all the tech you would expect in an ultra high-end directional freeride board; a stiff core that is packed full of tech, a directional camber profile that offers stability and predictability underfoot while having a rockered nose to easily float in powder allows the Alchemist to be an absolute wizard all over the mountain, and completely stands alone, both on the shelf and on the mountain, as your true premium offering in freeride snowboards.
Board Type: All Mountain and Powder
Inserts: 2x4
Camber Type: Directional Camber Profile
The board offers the best of both in terms of board profiles. Blending both traditional camber and rocker, you get the best of both worlds; the pop, stability, and precision of camber, and the float and predictability of rocker.
Flex: 9/10 (1 = soft / 10 = stiff)
A stiff flex for power, response and predictability underfoot.
Shape: Directional
The Alchemist has a directional shape so it wants to ride forwards and forwards only.
Core: S1 Core
Created to be more damp underfoot and incredibly strong, the S1 core is constructed from Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia. Tip to tail Bamboo add snap, durability, and damping underfoot is balanced by lightweight Paulownia in the middle, tip and tail of the board. Aspen and Bamboo are placed at 30 degree angles to increase strength and add response underfoot.
Triax Carbon Fiberglass
Integrating tip to tail carbon fiber stringers into fiberglass lay-ups ensures a smooth power release in and out of turns while increasing pop, liveliness, and longevity of the snowboard without adding unnecessary rigidity.
Spaceglass Tip
American made, Aerospace grade fiberglass used in the tip to provide high end structural performance and reduced weight.
Spectral Braid
Variable angle reinforcement allows for precision tuned torsion and flex by altering the fiber orientation along the length of the snowboard. This adds life, energy, and composition to the boards.
Carbon Power Fork
These power forks are strategically shaped to offer greater response and energy return by increasing the width towards the tail, this allows more energy to be created the harder the tail is dug into the snow.
Base: Sintered 4001 Base
Built from the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market, the 4001 base holds wax longer than other sintered bases for a faster, smoother ride.
Additional Features:
Recess3D - By reducing the amount of materials in lower stress zones, the swingweight of the snowboard is reduced to minimise weight and chatter in the tip and tail without sacrificing strength.
