Tech Highlight - Never Summer R.I.P Edge hold

Being snowboarders (especially snowboarders in Australia) there's one sound we hate, and that's when you go from the smooth slide of riding on snow to the harsh grind of hitting an ice patch. If the sound is the worst part of it, you're lucky. Often times you'll hit a patch of ice and lose control, your turn will skid out and you'll end up going where you don't want to go, or your edges will give way and you'll come face to face with that patch of ice.

Luckily, snowboard brands are innovating when it comes to getting grip in your edges, and although they've been experimenting and putting new tech into their boards for years now, the game is constantly evolving and things keep getting better for those of us who don't have access to fresh, soft snow all that often.

Enter Never Summer and their R.I.P Edge hold technology. Never Summer are often on the forefront of snowboard technology, developing and implementing features that you either won't find anywhere else, or won't find quite as good anywhere else. R.I.P manages to offer incredible grip on hard snow and ice, while maintaining a straight and smooth sidecut for clean entry and exit out of turns as well as minimal drag when on edge, giving you a faster and more consistent ride.
